Law Enforcement Targets Gains
Exclusive Distribution
Rights to
LiveSight Target Systems Products
New training services help law enforcement agencies to more effectively use
targets
BLAINE, Minn. (February 1, 2008) —
Law Enforcement Targets has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with
LiveSight Target Systems, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to gain the right to
distribute all LiveSight products, including the patented Virtual
Three-Dimensional Shooting Targets. The
agreement includes the rights to existing inventory and distribution of all
future products worldwide.
“This partnership adds a new line of 3D products and opens
up a brand new opportunity to help our customers more effectively use all of
our targets through new training services,” according to Cherie Manning, chief
operating officer for Law Enforcement Targets.
The
LiveSight Target Systems owners are former law enforcement officers who are now
freed up to focus on providing law enforcement training across the
country. LiveSight offers on-site
training for firearms instructors with classroom lessons for 3D tactical
targeting, combat fire and survival training. A full day of hands-on, live-fire
training follows to test and apply classroom concepts, and help each instructor
to adapt them to the standards of their own agencies and state guidelines.
The
Virtual Three-Dimensional Shooting Target is a system comprised of 3D images
and custom-made, protective safety glasses that transform regular firearms
training targets into interactive experiences to ensure highly realistic
training. These targets allow officers
to use real guns and real ammunition on life-like, moving targets. Target scenarios include traffic stop, armed
robbery, hostages, domestic, abductions, and SWAT.
“Unlike
high-tech video simulations, Live Sight targets are less expensive and easy to use,”
says Paul Liccardo of LiveSight Target Systems.
“Our targets — which have been well received by major U.S. law
enforcement agencies — work with
existing equipment for seamless integration into many different training
scenarios,” he says.
